I would just like to thank everyone at Oakfield for the wonderful evening last night!! My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed the ‘workshop’ and the lovely dinner. Thank you so much for a lovely beginning to the Meander Journey yesterday and the guests had such a lovely time at Oakfield and the feedback has been so positive. We even had an Oakfield bride on the Meander and she was letting everyone know how and why she chose Oakfield on the coach so that was added exposure for you.

I have attached the names and details of the guests who have agreed to receive further details from the venues and suppliers (due to the new CPA requirements I have had to get their permission, rather than just sending this info as before) and I have been given permission by most of the others to send directly from Meander so will do a follow up to the others on behalf of the venues and suppliers with all details.

Please ensure that you use this as an opportunity to push all areas of the venue including alternate functions that you do such as workshops, expos etc. as this is an excellent marketing platform to all guests and not just the brides.

Hi, my name is Louis Kotze and I attended the wedding of Daniel and Lisa Da Fonseca on Saturday the 13th of November at Oakfield Farm and would like to comment on the quality of the food, which I believe was prepared by your Company. I must start off by saying that as much as I love meat, I hate over cooked and tasteless meat.

We have to take into consideration that the wedding started 30 minutes later than planned and I am not sure that any of the other formalities were on time either. When reading the menu at the table, I thought who in their right minds can serve rump steak to so many people and still have some medium to rare pieces for people like me. I realized that my chances of getting a good piece of meat were even more minimized by the fact that we were seated at table 17, surely not one of the first that would be served. Having written off the rump steak, I was more interested in the veggies, which looked very attractive. How big was my surprise when I dished and saw that I got nothing less than the main table – whilst the fat on top (the white meat) were well done, I found meat which was still medium rare, exactly what I would describe as perfect!! I went back for more..

I have to compliment your chef(s), not only on the preparation, but also on the presentation. Everything not only looked delicious, everything was delicious.

I am sorry for the delay in writing to you, we are now back in London and the wedding (21st April) feels like a dream! You probably have had so many weddings by now not sure if you will remember me.

I wanted to say a big thank you to all of you for your hard work prior to and on the day. It is was so great arriving a few days before the wedding and knowing that everything would run smoothly. We had the most amazing day and everything looked fantastic at the venue. I just wish we could do it all again!

The food was divine and many of our friends commented on it. Gladys thank you for getting the umbrellas when it starting rain and we were taking photos and for so diligently looking after my dress! Gerald – thank you for all your help on the evening and ensuring we ran on track.

Denise - Thank you for supporting my parents in organising everything, unfortunately I didn’t get to be so involved in the process being away but it was a truly spectacular day.

Its been more than a month since the wedding cant believe it, i am eventually settling down and things are getting back to normal.

I want to say a very BIG SPECIAL THANK YOU!!!! for all your help, guidance and assistance through out my wedding planning and for making the time to come and see me on my wedding day even though it was your day of. Really meant allot to me.

I had a great wedding, could have not asked for anything better, everything ran smoothly and the staff where amazing. People to this day still complement me on how wonderful everything was from the venue to the food ( was amazing) and the staff. So thanx to Gerald and my head waitress for the day for being there for me on the day. They where always near by when i needed something! they where fantastic and deserve a THANK YOU as well.

I would also like to thank Matthew very much for the generous offer of allowing us to have extra things added at the last minute for our wedding, it made everything even more special!!!

I could have not picked a better venue EVER and if i could re live the day over again i would and would not change a thing.

Dearest Denise,

I feel absolutely terrible for not being in touch with you sooner - having all the family here for the long weekends straight after the wedding etc was wonderful, but seems to have put me behind in getting things done!

Anyway Denise, Gareth and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you and the staff at Oakfield did to make Sean and Kirsty's wedding more than a dream come true. Honestly we could not have asked for anything more and felt so special and pampered over from the time we arrived at Oakfield Farm, until the time we left. Vincent and Doreen deserve a special mention as they went about their duties with such professionalism and without forgetting the personal touches.

We had endless compliments about every detail of the day, and in fact one of Sean's aunts, who is apparently quite critical about the acceptable and non-acceptable of cuisine, said that she had NEVER tasted food of that quality at a wedding before (and she has apparently attends many functions)! Please pass that on to your chef and hats off to her and her staff for the absolutely delicious food! Sean and Kirsty's only regret ,was that they could not have eaten & enjoyed more of it (I think their nerves got the better of them!) I need to be in touch with the draping lady, which I have not done yet. We arranged and paid for the lights to be draped in front of the main table as well, which they forgot to do. It was a pity, but not the end of the world. Our first quote did not include that, but after requesting it they sent us a revised quote which we accepted and paid for, so I guess that was where the confusion came in. Denise, thank you again, we appreciate all that you did more than you will ever know!

We were kept informed of everything that was happening (including the minister that was late) and were treated like a king and queen. We were looked after for drinks and food the entire evening and I must complement Gerald and the head waitress on a job well done!!! Thank you guys for making this special occasion even more extraordinary.

We have received so many compliments from our family and friends and it made us feel so proud that we have chosen Oakfield Farm to start our new life together. I just wanted to send you a quick email, and thank you, yes, AGAIN, for all you did for us on our very special wedding day. It was definately the best wedding I"VE ever been to :)

From the first meeting with you until the moment we left, the day after the wedding, I was continually impressed with Oakfield, the beautifully tended grounds and all of the staff. Every person I dealt with was professional, personal and so happy to help. My wedding day was stress-free and easy and we had such fun, from the morning spent wandering around in my dressing gown, to the very last minute. It was wonderful to know that I didnt need to worry about anything! Gerald was amazing, held everything together and my "PA" (for the life of me, I cant remember her name), were organised, self assured and just made me feel like there could have been an earth quake and they would have "just made a plan", and sorted it out!! I knew that our wedding day would be lovely, but I never expected it to be SO PERFECT!

We have had numerous compliments from guests on the food, and service, and the venue in general, and I just wanted to express my most heartfelt appreciation to you and all your staff for making my wedding day the fairytale I couldnt even imagine.

We got married on the 20th June this year at Oakfield Farm in Muldersdrift. What a great venue!! Myself including our parents would just like to give a huge thanks to everybody at Oakfield who was involved with our big day: A big thanks to Karin, Alana and Justin who helped us with the booking arrangements and making sure the suppliers and the procedures went smoothly that day. Everybody went the extra mile for us the whole day and that type of service is not always easy to find these days. Even after our wedding when we returned to our honeymoon suite 3:00 the next morning, two plates of our supper was waiting for us on the living room table with a bottle of bubbly. That was very welcome after a long night partying with our guests. We also got allot of compliments from our guests after the wedding saying the food was excellent - so compliments to the chef please!! Our winter wedding turned out to be a sunny and beautiful day. We can truly say that our wedding day was a fairy tale that came true!! Thank you.

Paul and I would like to come through sometime with a tiny gift for you and Rachel and Justin, just to say thank you. When would be good? We won't just have fond memories of Oakfield, they're amazing memories and you guys are still very much at the forefront of our thoughts. You were all fantastic!!!!! There were so many little touches that I hadn't known would happen or expected that were amazing. Like Rachel staying with me every moment from when I left the dressing room to the reception, guiding me and especially helping with the dress. She's wonderful. Even down to Justin and Rachel dishing up for us... Those are little things that make such an amazing impact. We, and everyone who was there, are blown away by your unbelievably beautiful venue, chapel, and grounds, your amazing staff, the personal touch and you in particular. Thanks very much for everything!! We will always remember our special day at Oakfield. We have received numerous compliments about the venue, the food and the way in which the whole day went! It has been a day on which we as the bridal couple could enjoy everything and take in every moment. It has been made possible by working with professional people like yourself, Justin and Leon. We have the utmost gratitude for everything you have done for us. Words seem inadequate to express just how much we appreciate it. From the start everything ran like clockwork and according to plan. Usually couples that get married can think of what went wrong at their wedding. We have no such memories – it is all good! Our wedding wasn’t everything we anticipated – it was way more!!! When we started planning the wedding, we first had to decide on the venue. When we walked into Oakfield on the 18th of October 2008, we knew we had found the place! Oakfield has a special ambience and a unique feel to it. It has a way if selling itself (if we can put it that way). It was everything we could have asked for and more… Oakfield will of course now form part of every memory of that day. Even the little bit of rain could not put a damper on a wonderful day We will hold Oakfield in the highest regard, and whenever we are asked, we will “boast”, if we may, that we were fortunate enough to have been wedded at Oakfield Farm. Ons wil met hierdie skrywe Oakfields komplimenteer en bedank vir alles wat geskied het op Vrydag. Die hulp wat ons ontvang het van Patience en Justin was fenominaal. Hulle is albei baie professioneel in hulle optrede. Alles het 100% verloop. Die tafels was verskriklik mooi gedek. Die kos was fantasties en so mooi voorgesit. Die bediening van die kelners was uitstekend. Al ons gaste was vol komplimente. Daar was nerens enige klagte of ongelukkigheid nie. Welgedaan. Dankie aan AJ wat ons gehelp het die dag en al ons vrae beantwoord het. Alana, baie dankie vir al jou reelings en organisasie. Dankie ook vir jou en die eienaar se reelings rondom ons akkomodasie. Dit was op kort kennisgewing en die kamers het so mooi gelyk. My vriende kan nie uitgepraat raak daaroor nie. Baie dankie. Die "honeymoon" suite waar ons geslaap het is verskriklik mooi. Ons wou nie die Saterdag oggend daar uitgaan nie. Dankie aan Justin en Patience se moeite met die krag wat af was in ons kamers. Arme Justin het papnat gereen om sleutels te kry om dit weer aan te sit. Die ontbyt was baie lekker. Ons sal Oakfields se naam uitdra en by almal aanbeveel. Weereens baie dankie vir alles. Yolandi se troue was verskriklik mooi en almal het dit baie geniet. Stoffel en Marietjie Cronje.

My name is Carly, I am Daniella’s sister in-law as well as one of the brides maids for the wedding on this last Saturday evening. WOW, what a lovely experience, I really wanted to send you my thoughts, as I know criticism is far easier to voice, it’s rare one takes the time to congratulate for a job well done. I must be honest, though your venue has appeared in countless magazines, for various awards, I always had the opinion that Oakfield was a bit of a sausage factory, and I never gave it a thought when I chose my venue for my wedding. But I will take those words back and HIGHLY recommend your venue. From the moment we all arrived (bridal party) to the moment I left, I have nothing but praises to sing. Every little attention to detail, nothing went un-noticed. I have been in the event industry for over 15 years now, from running various functions from corporate to private, conferences and weddings, and know the difference between a venue trying to just ‘get by’ and one that goes ‘over and above’ a client’s expectations. I notice all the tiny little things, that you all did to make everything perfect! Doreen was MARVELOUS!!! Please do tell her that I wish I had her around me on my wedding day – what a treat – at times she was doing a far better job than us bridesmaids. She ran around after my sister like a professional PA to the bride – you guys should actually ‘Trade Mark’ her job and market your offering, as ‘each bride get’s their personal PA’ on the day. She not only sewed, but carried, watched, and doted on Daniella’s and our every need. She thought about things before we had to mention them. She was fast, efficient and very reliable. A HUGE thanks to Doreen for all her help. I would also like to commend my table’s waiter – Ian, he was so on the ball too – ‘guessing’ my order as I was hardly at the table, delivering drinks faster than lightening – smiling and joking with us all the time. He was great! I am sure all your staff played their part in more ways than we realise – as no one always appreciates the amount of work that goes into an event, from pre-planning to the wrap-up. SO thank you to your team, for making my sister’s wedding so awesome! From now on I will look at your awards, your bridal write-ups and ads on the net with a new appreciation – and with only praise! They say word of mouth is the strongest marketing tool by far!! My mouth will be talking!! All the best for your future weddings!

!!! WOW !!!
What can I say, thank you just doesn't seem to cut it. Karen and Richard's wedding was absolutely fantastic, there was not a single glitch. This is due mostly to the absolute professionalism of Oakfield in every respect; all the planning and consulting with Denise, the perfectly maintained beauty of the venue, Gerald's wonderful manner and ability to handle a difficult job with such ease, the well presented, courteous and friendly staff and the excellent food. The guests were totally blown away and I think Oakfield has certainly sold itself as a future venue to many of them! After closing the bar and packing up the dj, the guests from the UK (visiting SA for the first time) were still reluctant to leave, I was even asking to switch off the lights in desperation, but all compliments to Oakfield as this has given them a memory from South Africa to treasure for a long time! Karen and Richard had a fairy tale wedding as everything they had dreamed of was realised! Thank you for everything, we were truly blessed when we chose Oakfield!! Warmest Regards

I’ve been meaning to pop you an email for ages! I just wanted to send you a HUGE thank you to you and the staff at Oakfield for service that was beyond excellence! Every guest that I have had a chance to speak to, only had good comments to make about the day! The food was delicious and enjoyed by everyone, and even when we got a chance to eat, we were blown away by it all! All round, the service was brilliant and really was way above standard! So thank you! I was extremely satisfied and happy with all of the suppliers, most of whom you already know!
